What have you done to your Miata today?

Narp, I'll have to rent from u-haul, that's what Bill use to do. Won't consider buying my own till the MSM is sold (or paid off), I might consider a toy dolly but the car might be too low for that...

Renting isn't a bad idea, won't have to worry about maintenance or storing it or any of that stuff.

Sounds good in theory, but what worries me about that is if something breaks on the car or you do something bad and hit something it gives you less options to get the car back home.

that's why I thought about the dolly, its cheaper and easier to store
Tow dollies are a really bad idea, I had one for one season and got rid of it, the car sways around on the pivot when you tow it on the highway, the turning radius is very large and they are very difficult to back up as well. Your better off renting a trailer, you just need to reserve one in advance to make sure they have one when you need it.

Ordered
  • Coin box (Replaces the airbag Switch)
  • 5x Racing Timing Wheel
  • Front Main Seal
  • Cam Seal

Last things I needed before the TB/WP Change.
Also contemplating getting a Steering wheel/Hub/Quick Release or just getting new Wheels/Tires.
Having a little smaller wheel would be nice... Im not a small guy by any means, lol.

Plasti diped the wheels and cleaned

car was officially picked up by its new owner on friday, its been fun but i'll get to see/drive it occasionally

sold the stock wheels. Going to put money in the bank and jump on a flying miata butterfly brace group buy.

Everything back together, off the jack stands and started. Took a short test drive and everything looks good (always a plus when you tear apart as much as I did). I do have to readjust the clutch pedal, FM's instructions didn't work well for me. Then I just have to restrain my right foot for another 490 miles.

Started mine, looked at it, then went back into the house.

I made sure that mine was still happy underneath it's car cover in the barn over the weekend. I'm looking forward to April.
