What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

For you guys making these adjustments, make sure to post them in the AP thread. MSF does have a lot of good info on this, since they did pave the way for Cobb to get this out to market, and fine tune some of the maps.

Also, if anyone wants to write up some how tos and good values, I'd love to see it.

ill write it up this weekend, post up some screenshots so others can follow more easily, will also post up how to change the closed loop tables as well..

I actually love the was the nuetral table feels in every gear. When im crusing I am barely on the pedal to keep speed. I like to ease off a little sometimes going down hills or when a cop is passing by me. With it touchy the car would completely cut out then jump back in on the throttle. Same with crusing slow through a parking lot. You give it just enough throttle to geep the car moving without letting the revs dropping and letting it bog. With the 1:1 in that situation the car would cut out and jump back in on the throttle. I swear I heard something snap on my rear end last night when this happened.

Yes, I was surprised about the closed loop tables. If you look on msf in the thread about this. The guy is giving tables for the speed3. Then a guy comes in and posts his that he fine tuned on his speed6. Those are the exact tables I used.

awesome!!! when i make the thread this weekend ill be using those numbers accross all gears.

Drove around town picking up supplies for going back to work. Sucks 'cause I won't be able to clean her good before leaving.

Trust me. You can wait. The install isnt a walk in the park. (evil)

Lol yeah I know I've looked through the corksport dp installation, but luckily I have a lift I can use on base and a buddy to help me do it since he's done the one on his before. So I look forward to a long day when the day comes to installing it.

Coy if you want a downpipe, go ahead and get you one. I'm sure there are bound to be some good deals out there.

I want one so bad. I study all the time so I just don't have a day to dedicate to an install. Especially when I would need some help since the DP is a pita.

Shops charge 4-5 hours of labor which is about 400 bucks. Paying that much for a shop to potentially do a half ass job isn't worth it.

So for now ill wait in envy :(. GL with your install

Me and my dad did it in 3 hours. Hardest part was getting the bastard out. Had to take the passeneger mount off and pry the engine forward about 3 inches. Even the new one was a bit of a pain to get it. Heat shields are the worst.

yup the heat shields are the worst part of the whole thing, all those "hidden" 8mm bolts.. there not really hidden but some of them are in spots that are a b**** to get your hands into. lucky for me i did my manifold at the same time so it went alittle easier and i didnt have to take the motor mount off.. but the downpipe still just cleared everything getting it out... id advise getting atleast a six pack of beer before doing the install

Damn 3 hours is pretty fast and with my friends' experience,we will probably get it done in just about the same amount of time I guess, and this will probably be my hardest install then. I wish I had enough money to also buy a mani but I guess I'll have to wait. For now, I'll just add that to my list. I only need an AP, TMIC, StiffDiff, and a Mani and that should keep me content once I get them all.
Lol Boosted, bringing a six pack and drinking underage on base in the auto shop doesn't seem like such a good idea. I'll get reamed so hard

I drank sweet tea during my install... :) Seems like a manifold would be a hell of a lot of work. Turbo must come off first correct? I bet those bolts bolted to the block are a PITA. I told myself I would only mod as far as it was time for a new turbo and manifold. And I am at that point now. I need to pay this b**** off.

didnt have to take the turbo off, the bolts on the block arent too bad, i used all sorts of 14mm stuff.. including swivel sockets, ratcheting wrenchs, long/short sockets.. it came out faster then the downpipe, i got hung up on one of the nuts and had to use a E-20 Torx Wrench, that wrench saved the day.

I'm in a similar situation only mine was as far as a downpipe. I put $12k down on it when I bought it so I only have about 12 more months of payments. I've been saving for an Exige S240, but I want to wait at least for a year after this is paid off.

finally got the car back. but they have to do the windshield again! the little Vin window is in the wrong spot, so i have no visible VIN right now. lol

installing OCC, heat shield DSC chip, and grounding kit this sat! cant wait.

today, i enjoyed my car instead of cursing myself for buying a car i dont get to drive!

i got home from work at 4:30 and realized i still had almost two hours of sun so i got changed, hopped back in the car, opened the sunroof and drove! after a couple hundred KM of back road twist, turns and hills i got back into the city and pulled into the driveway it felt soooo good to get the car out and be able to go up and down through the gears i cant wait for summer!

You lucky bastard. I wish I had a sunroof. Forget the extra weight it adds. Any1 with a speed6 with a sunroof wanna trade cars with me?
