What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

So after a day of my car sitting in the heat the carbon fiber vinyl has pulled back on the very edge of some corners. I will have to take some off and super glue the edges.

That sucks.

I have an extra prosport boost gauge that I'm thinking of installing in the center vent.
However, its blue. I want the red to match the factory color.

qwik, when you installed it did you just peel and stick or did you use a hair dryer to heat it and press the vinyl down?
I heated mine and then pressed it down and it hasnt peeled yet and I did that this past march in the winter

Take a look at Stri as well. Defi are nice, but you gotta be careful if you get one that takes the Defi-link. For one gauge, that's really expensive.

Got my converter covered under warranty. I did my own temp test and found that one was running 180 C colder then the other, so mazda hooked the computer up and the second o2 sensor was getting a reading identical to the first, meaning the cat wasnt cleaning any emissions.. so that side was evidently trying to run leaner.

While it was in, they noted that the fan control module was recalled under warranty. My car has never overheated, but I did notice it would kick on and off all the time.

With both of those replaced...
27 MPG on the highway, traveling at 75. Most of the time I would get 22. (eekdance)(eekdance)(eekdance)

Washed my dads. and i took a few pics of it (just in the driveway nothing crazy)

Possibly the oddest tread design ive seen haha

Yes. I used a heat gun to stretch and make the vinyl contour to the panels. I took heat to the edges to wrap them to the sides. After inside the car the edges pulled up in some spots. I think the best thing to do is just use a light coat of superglue and hold it in place til it dries. (sadbanana)

those are the tires I'm gonna get, hopefully on Friday. still torn on sizing... either 225/45 (1.2% too fast) or 225/40 (2.2% too slow).... or maybe try 235/40 (1.2% too slow)! ahhh i dont know

debagged my mazdaspeed6. so only flying M on front n back remain.
trying to decide if i like it or not.

blacked out was subtle enough, i kinda liked having at least a SLIGHT indication of that fact its a SPEED and not a regular 6. but we'll see if vanity gets the best of me, ill see how long i can stand it without... lol

Here's some quick shots of my Prosport installed in Ben's pod (I forgot to take the protective sticker off the face that first day). I think the Prosport is a 99% colour match, but mine always peaks at 15PSI, so I don't know if the gauge is off, or if I'm leaking. I think it will do the job, but there are better quality, more accurate gauges out there.

Tire Rack didnt have the 225 45's in the right load rating so we had to get the 225 40s

i love that pod location!! (drive2)

I'd be interested in load rating and the point of that also T.

Another question, how much quieter and what kind of sound do you get from a resonator? Mines too loud and the DP is prob going on Fri, prob be louder even though it sounds good, real good actually I'm a lil too old for that loud.
