First time I've had a car from 0 - 80085. Total cost of repairs since 2016: $800
Heh. I'm a middle-aged man, and this still makes me chuckle a bit.

I have done that on mine at least 3 times, now it’s loose again.I tightened the rear view mirror. I started to rattle on a recent road trip.
At least it is easy to do.I have done that on mine at least 3 times, now it’s loose again.![]()
If it loosens up again I will probably use some blue Loctite. This was the first time I had to tighten the mirror. I-20 through MS to TX is a torture track.Loctite?
The first time when I noticed that T20 screw for rear view mirror was loose, my 2016 CX-5 is still under B-to-B warranty. I had the Mazda dealer to do the job. The Service Advisor showed me a Service Alert that Mazda advised dealers don’t tighten that T20 screw too much which could break the windshield. At the time the CX-5 windshield breaking from rear view mirror area was a problem. And the Service Alert also suggests don’t apply Loctite to the T20 screw for some reason.Loctite?
Unfortunately it’ll get loose again. Loctite? See my previous post.If it loosens up again I will probably use some blue Loctite. This was the first time I had to tighten the mirror. I-20 through MS to TX is a torture track.
Noted.Unfortunately it’ll get loose again. Loctite? See my previous post.
Lovely adventure tonight. I've had a faint foul smell in the garage lately that I haven't been able to find. The weather's been heating up lately and the smell got worse quickly. I'm out there earlier, following my nose around, trying like hell to find it. I took my CX-5 out of the garage so I had more room to look around. As I'm walking back to the garage, I get a strong whiff of it near the car. Nah... can't be. In the garage, the smell was gone. Walk back to the CX-5... uh oh... pop the hood and got a nose full! Dammit, dammit, dammit. Long story long (and I'll skip the pics) but a small bird had gotten trapped just below the A/C condenser and has been there long enough for nature to start working in reverse. Just what I wanted to do tonight... cleaning up that disgusting mess!! Glad I had some extra N95 masks to get through that. Freaking nasty.
In my experience, with a completely flat battery in a CX-5, those things aren’t much good. Only way I’ve been able to start is with a jump from another car. Just sayin’Acquired a new NOCO GBX45 jump starter. Ought to come in handy, on those rare occasions.

Right. You will have to charge it for a bit before attempting a start. In my experience, with a completely flat battery in a CX-5, those things aren’t much good. Only way I’ve been able to start is with a jump from another car. Just sayin’
