I didn't apply "oil or grease" to the threads.

What's #4 talking about above?

"Turn the lug wrench counterclockwise and lower the vehicle"?

Did I miss something? Aren't 'we' tightening the lugs?

Yeah, I think the "lug wrench" they are referring to is a dual purpose device.
