Is the Alfa Romeo Stelvio about the same size as CX-5? Where does the front license plate go? I’ll try my every way to avoid the plate installed in the middle of “front bumper”, otherwise it’d be a disaster

I really like the way this “Black Rear Bumper Protector Guard Sill Plate Cover For Mazda CX-5” looks and fits in my 2020 GTR. Added some more 3M 2X tape and heated with air dryer prior to application.

The other day I unplugged the VVT oil control valve in the head gasket to clean off the leaking oil. Still need to replace that OCV. But then I forgot to plug it back in, and the wife had a CEL the next day. Oops. Plugged it back in when she got home, cleared the codes and all is good now.

Since you have a GTR, I assume this does not interfere with the power liftgate as some other rear sill plates do?

Mine is actually just resting against the console that houses the camera on the windshield, you can actually see it in the last pic of post #5 on the first page of this thread. There might be room to jam it up behind the headliner with the rest of the cable, but I didn't bother with trying...

Also added an oem rubber trunk mat. Didn’t mind that it does not match my Canadian oem mats. Did they really need to take such a sizeable area for the stamped-in warning label?

Quite eager to place an order for the yet to be released CS exhaust. That and tint are up next.

Installed the hydraulic hood struts I got from Amazon. Cheap & easy upgrade that as others have pointed out, Mazda should have included. Took about 15 minutes.

It’s a Uniden R3. I have been without a radar detector since 2016 when I gave up on my Escort 9500ix due to false alarms from other cars.

So far, the Uniden has been great and WAY better with falsing. The range and quality are comparable to what I remember of escorts, but for less than half the price. Never a problem with my CX5, but one of worst bsm offenders out there are other KF’s. It’s not frequent at all IMO. Mostly city driving. The only setting I’ve messed with is “city” mode and the display. I am yet to update the Uniden— should I?

I looked at some cheaper mounts in the $40-60 range (I think) but they had excess screw threading poking out and such. The blendmount was a gamble at $100 but it seems nice/clean install.

I was surprised how clean mine came out. I'll take a picture if I remember. I also found a cord to tap into the mirror that fits perfectly, advertised for a different brand.

I have a Radenso Pro M, supposed to be great, but I've disabled K band because of the falsing from my car, mostly when I start out in the morning.
