Depends? Do you want an all season or a summer tire? The Ziex 512 is an all season, the FK451 is a summer

"All Season", "Summer Tires" and all these different model numbers. Now I'm Falken confused... (stoned)

I have the Ziex 512's and love them - much better performance/grip than the Dunlops, and they look good too, and you won't panic if you get a light snow in fall/spring. Been riding on them (205/40/17) since April, and had them on the stock rims half of last summer.

Falken GR Beta FK-451 are summer tires and are better performer. It has got great reviews

But if you want a fantastic A/S tire, get the Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S. I can tell you they are very, very, very good (but not for the first 300 miles break-in period)

For Falken:
Summer tires - Azenis, hands down winner.
Winter tires - Either dedicated snows or Zeix 512
For average all around tire - Zeix 512

Everything is a compromise, one tire won't "do it all"...

If you want a tire that "lasts" for like 80,000 miles, gets amazing grip levels, and can handle 1 foot snow drifts, and "LoOkS tIgHt yO!!" all for under $50 per tire then let me know when you find it and I'll buy the company.

That's what I'm running. Azenis for the Daily Driving/Autocrossing during the summer, and have Zeix 512's for the winter.

The 512 is definitely the best all year round tire from falken, but depending on how bad your winters get, the ST115 might not be a bad compromise. The 451 isnt really all that great in the rain so i wouldnt want to try it in the snow. Another tire to consider in the same price range would be the Fuzion ZR1s, slightly stickier than the 512s, about the same wear, better in the rain, probably snow too, and a little more aggressive looking tread pattern than the 512. I sell them all and have tried them all and if you want to give me a shout at work between 8:30am and 6pm eastern time at my office id be more than glad to go over all the littler differences and help you decide on the tire thats best suited for you.
