What exhaust to buy???

No, no built engine. He was able to repair it with all stock parts. It's done just waiting on my rear motor mount to show up before he drops it back in and I pick it up. Not much of a beast. :(

But, still fun in the corners!!

what're the odds of getting someone with the magnaflow exhaust setup to post some audio clips?

You hear a lot of the dyno wheel but can hear my magnaflow in the background.

Yeah, the MagnaFlow's are not loud at all! You do hear more engine noise than exhaust with my setup. But, maybe that will change with the eventual addition of a header.

But, I will still try to get a clip when I get my car back.

Appreciated mate, I want performance without the noise, i know thats an oxymoron because freer flowing exhaust = power = noise. But my V6 cougar was dragster loud...headers, testpipe, 3" catback exhaust....there was NOTHING in the way of the exhaust gases and I ended up with a headache almost everytime i got in it for any length of time.

I'll prolly end up doing completely N/A to get CLOSE to 150whp...Cams, I/H/E, full set of pulleys and be done with it. And start with the Headers because from the looks of things, these stock headers are rediculously constricting, the 1" exhaust piping doesnt help either LOL

Best mods for performance N/A is header, highflow catted midpipe and a full catback. You don't need 3 inch piping on a 2.0 fourcyclinder though.

You might look into removing the VTCS on your car. I'm still hesitant to do light wieght pulleys. I like my alternator.

Tylor

Why would lightweight pulleys do anything to your alternator? You aren't underdriving anything.

Sorry, I was mistaken. Not lightwieght, I'm hesitant about underdrive. Thanks for the correction. Lighter pullies=good

lol

$420 for an axle back? I think they're smokin something!!

I agree, go full catback. Keep your eyes peeled in the "For Sale" section on here. I picked up a full catback Magnaflow exhaust for $180.

Eh, I've had the Unorthodox Racing UDP on the car for almost 2 years now and no problems. I even have a voltmeter gauge monitoring everything just in case. All this and I'm turbo'd. I would however like to go back to stock size soon but lightweight like Brach's sets.
