hey guys on a side note what places have you guys gotten kits from where the wire color doesnt fade.
I have an HKS style system on now that I paid like 28shipped for and it is a replica of their circle earth system, cam with plenty of wires of all different lengths so it installed and works fine but all of the wires nearest to the engine where the extreme heat is have turned dark green almost brown from the heat instead of their normal birght blue.
Does this happen with all kits or did this one just use wire sleeves that were bad for hi temps?
Sorry to get off topic a little, as I understood it the point of a ground wire system was to stop the loss of electrical current as it passes from major part to part in your car, like the parts mentioned in the above post, supposedly as the current passes through them they loose a litte and this causes power loss and electrical interference between all the parts. Ground all of them stops this loss and the only real gains you will see are better throttle response and a smoother accelration as well as idle.
MIne pulled harder through the rpm range above 4k(especially in 3rd gear, my fav gear =)) enough that I could notice it.
I dont know if I could really notice better throttle response or if I convinced myself I did =P
