What do you think about this exhaust?

Hi

I've been doing an intensive search throughout the internet hoping to find a beautifully finished and sporty sounded exhaust, and this is what I've found so far that matches all my needs (by far!

). So what do you think about it?

No reason for dual exhaust on a 4 cyl IMO ... Spounded good tho I wouldn't buy from a place in all German

Well, when you live in Spain and you can't afford to pay the shipping costs from either sides of the world (japan-usa), germany is the smartest choice IMO

The only reason for a dual exhaust is just aesthetic, because I looove how it looks.

i like the look of the quad exaust (unless it's the lexus ISF, ew stacked whut?)

and for the record it makes no difference how many exhaust tips you have on any car no matter what engine. some ppl think dual on a 4 cyl is crazy or whatever, but exhaust tips are for nothing but looks. the part that you see when you look at the back of the car has nothing to do with the exaust's ability to perform

Cut both resonators out of your stock cat back. Cost at most $100. Sounds good too.

....no v8 and v6 motors with dual exhaust have TRUE dual exhaust because there are two exhaust manifolds...(unamused)

dual on a 4 is only looks and IMO...if i saw a guy that paid to get dual put on his 4 cyl car id prolly call him a d-bag.

once again this makes no difference because i was talking about the tips not the exhaust itself. and true dual exhaust has nothing to do with hw many cylinders you have. my tacoma has a v6 and flows out through 1 exhaust (hand)

there are vettes that utilize the H or X style exhuast piping because the reverberations within the exhaust actually help pull the gases out on the exhaust stroke instead of the piston doing all the work. so when those 2 separate manifolds go back into 1 common exhaust area then back out to 2 is that still a dual exhaust?

this is making me exhausted

Looks pretty good, sounds just like my car did with 2 resonators and the muffler removed.

I'd rather explain this to my girlfriend...yes people do a lot of different things with exhaust...your truck exhaust goes from two manifolds and goes into one exhaust pipe... If you went and put dual exhaust on it you would probably see some gains. Have you ever seen early in the morning when you are driving to and there is a car with "smoke" coming out one tip but not the other so much? This is because the car is either a v6 or 8 without true dual pipes or it's a inline 4.

Now, I guess if u want true dual exhaust with an inline 4 u could fab a manifold that takes 2 exaust ports to each pipe...

This thread fails. The dual exhaust is for show only when it comes to I4's. If the OP wants it then go for it. I personally laugh when I see a civic with quad exhaust. Rice Rice Baby.

Which is not what the op plans on buying... I say if u want something like that then y not just get another tip and mount it somehow on the othe side those tips are like 20$ at walmart...If all u want is looks this should work for u

Ok, personally I think that it looks better then the stocker exhaust, sounds better. Most of all, it DOESNT look ricey. It looks like a well designed, good looking piece. It isnt one of those ugly upturned dual tip things ricers use that rust out in a week. Check this page out

You can set the site to english and read the descriptions.
Look at the pics of that piece there, the tips dont stick out past the bumper. Plus they make a dual outlet rear bumper piece that looks perfect.
Honestly, I would rather spend the 2 grand or so on this exhaust and bumper piece then what Ive seen on this site, people getting wheels, racing stripes, carbon hoods and spoiler extensions etc etc etc. All that stuff has been done, and done for years, usually poorly, by ricers. Who cares if there is only a .5 hp gain. Its unique, good looking without being flashy or ostentatious. Yeah...I'll get it after I buy the Corksport FMIC/Ram kit and I have nothing better to spend my money on.

He'd probably call you one back. Leave the negativity out of it. You already expressed your disinterest in the exhaust once, now leave it alone.
Personally I like the look of the quad. It looks good on the R32s that I have seen with them, and of course the new STI which comes stock with them.
Now stop being a negative nancy and go harass some kids on myspace or something.

Couple of questions, what do they mean - comes with front and rear silencer ?
Would this replace your entire back bumper ?

Figured it out, they mean resonators, also they say the back piece is an insert.

You have to replace the bumper insert, the piece that has the cut out for the exhaust tips, it can be removed and replaced with one that has two from the site he listed.

Silencers, I think they are referring to what we call mufflers.
