I use this formula

4+40=a/c

4 windows down, 40mph... Nice and cool.

ha ha! nice formula lol.... I agree. I took my ac out and never regretted a thing.

I think the thing to keep in mind is that when you are shooting for higher horsepower, you are most likely building a car that performs. Having some ammenities removed just comes with the territory. Take the Evo's for example. The RS was stripped down with manual windows among other reductions to save on weight. Over all it ended up netting over 400 lbs from the factory. You have to make a decision and just jump. What is your goal. What is the look. What is the feel. (no question marks because I am going for a rhetorical thing here).

when my belt for the a/c broke i noticed a little power gain due to less draw on the motor, but i hate not having a/c here in florida. and if you have to go to a meeting or something, being all sweaty isnt cool....just my $.02

That is funny!!! I may have to keep mine if I ever want to let my wife ride with me. She says she gets headaches with "the formula".

I think you should do it, I did it on my Honda and it made a big difference...it is also weight reduction...

r u kidding me, i wouldnt have done it, maybe cuz ur tiny honda motor with no power cant power the ac, but weight reduction...C'mon...3-5 pounds... not worth it

na hes not lieing it helps i took out my ac and power steering.....and back seats lol...
