By the looks of your typing skills, I'd say that you don't have enough patience to maintain an FD.

^ That's funny. It hurt reading his post.

Now on the serious side what are your plans for the car? Do you have the budget for a proper build? What will the car be used for? The Fd will be a completely different type of vehicle to what you have now, but have fun if you decide on getting one.

Yeah, hilarious. (unamused) He said he's from Hungary, so it's pretty obvious English is a second language. I had no trouble following him. Damn site easier to understand than some guys whose first language is (suppose to be) English.

To 2zzge....
Here's a few links that might help you in deciding if an RX7 is for you. The authors were writing for a North American market, but the specific information on the car itself will be the same. The FD RX7s especially are an outstanding performance value, but are NOT for everyone. Either way... J szerencse

I guess they don't capitalize in Hungary. (poke)

I wasn't trying to be funny, I was just making an observation...Personally, I've put more than twice as much money into my FD than I originally bought it for. To own and maintain an FD3S, you need patience, money and some kind of mechanical know-how. By the looks of the guy's post, I seriously don't think he's got the patience. I'll bet the guy's 16-18, drives a Hatchi-Roku and has NO idea what he's getting into with rat's nests, fuel pulsation dampeners, and sequential turbos.

2zzge: Buy a clean N/A FC and see where it takes ya. Once you learn a little bit about how the rotary works, then maybe an FD will be for you. :)

First off a corolla t sport is a newer model corolla which as per his screen name sports the 2zz engine...not a "hachi roku"

Secondly good luck with a na fc outside of north america...no such thing ever made in japan and I think the edm market is the same (they even got turbo verts)

2zzge....welcome to the forums if your serious about getting into the rotary game and have the cash for a fd go for it. My suggestion is to do as much research as possible before diving in. Also have a spare ride to use when the fd goes down.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Really?
He was struggling with a foreign language, and didn't capitalize. Nothing in his post suggests a lack of of patience or a young age. The only person who showed a lack of patience and maturity was you.
He says he's currently driving a Toyota, likes the RX7 but is apprehensive because he has no experience with rotaries. The vast majority of owners started there too. And likely suffered from the same apprehension given it's reputation. What an idiot to think he should post up a question about them in an English speaking forum for some information.
There was also nothing in his post that suggested he was looking at an FD either. Just a RX7.
Last I checked he hasn't been back. Some of your second post might have been helpful but it looks like it's a little late.

FWIW, I talked with some guys on a Czech Rotary forum and quite a few drive NA FCs there. From what I understand, it's the FD that's rare. Not sure why...maybe it's simply cost.
