What did you pay for your CX-5?

Hey everybody. I'm new here, but definitely looking to get a 2014 CX-5. Its one of 2 vehicles I've narrowed down to getting, and definitely the favored one over the RAV4. So I'm going to test drive both one more time, but I think I'm going to end up with the CX-5. It was just so much fun to drive even if it wasn't as comfortable.

I'm looking at getting an AWD Touring for the 2.5L engine and some all weather mats. Haven't decided on whether or not I want either of the packages, but if I did it would probably be the moonroof and bose audio package over the technology package as I really don't use navigation systems. Though, what is the radio like without the tech package?

Anyway that aside...what do you think I can expect to negotiate to price wise for an AWD Touring, black exterior, black interior, with or without 1 or both packages? This is the first time buying a car for me so really trying to get an idea.

Thanks.

Edit: And what exactly is invoice? Is that dealer cost?

I'm kind of the opposite of you. I would prefer just to have the Touring Tech package and do away/skip the BOSE/Moonroof package (unfortunately to get the former you must also get the latter whereas if you opt only for the latter you don't need to get the former, heh). I think the bi-xenon HID lights in the Touring tech package are my favorite addition to the car. If that doesn't do it for you, maybe the rain-sensing wipers? SCBS? There's more but I can't remember more off the top of my head. :) I'm sure more knowledgeable people will chime in. I think the Touring Tech package is a really good value, even if I have to add the BOSE/Moonroof package. Good luck on your car search!

Edit: Just wanted to note that I haven't purchased the car yet, but will hopefully close out on a deal this weekend.

Just picked up a 2014 CX-5 GT AWD with everything except all weather mats.
Tech package / Roof rack / Cargo cover / Remote Start.

30,200 + taxes + 399.00 doc fees + title / registration

Some of you guys are lucky on dealer fee here in florida we get **** any where from 300 to 800 bucks.

I think New York is the best. 50 bucks is all they can charged. I picked mine up when I bought my Honda using CarsDirect and I requested to pick it up in New York.

Just bought 2 days ago a GT in storm blue with sand interior. It is now in port awaiting delivery to Long Island. It came equipped from the factory with the cargo screen and dealer showed me the delivery paperwork with a dealer invoice of $28,865. Their first offer to me was for $29,200 ($365 over invoice). After I stared at the sheet for a minute, the salesperson asked me what I wanted to pay to get the deal done and I asked if they would throw in the Homelink mirror ($325 installed on their accessory sheet) and they agreed. With my $10,000 trade in allowance, the out the door (incl. taxes, prep, reused tags) was $20,953.

This price is on the low end of the Kelly Blue Book web site's "fair purchase price" chart so I am comfortable with the way the transaction went.

Best I can do in central Texas (Austin/SA area) is $400-500 under sticker for a "base" Touring (no options). Have seen others around my area that have done better...any tips, recommended dealers, etc?

Thanks!

The best deals I have heard about are in Houston or Dallas area. I went ahead and bought in Austin, I know I could get a better deal if I drove somewhere but I feel there is value to buying at your local dealer where you will be having your service. Personal preference, and I understand it is just that very personal preference that helps these local dealers manage to have the prices that they have. I am sure they also have less volume than the dealers in Dallas/Houston.

Picked up a 2014 FWD Grand Touring with tech package ($30,040 sticker) in liquid silver Friday night for $28,345 with only taxes, tag transfer, and title, no dealer fees or anything like that. Ended up being a couple hundred under $30k OTD. Got them to find me a better rate than Mazda's promotional rate of 3.49%. I financed $23,673 at 2.99% for 72 months.

I sent you a private message about my deal.

Unfortunately, paying more upfront doesn't come with any extras. Beasley does have good service department.

If you live in Austin, driving 3 hours out isn't always possible. But to save over $2000, sign me up!

I agree...def prefer dealing with the local dealers who are gonna service my car...and willing to pay a bit extra for that. Doesn't look like much negotiating room around here though....(rolleyes)

Picked up mine ('14 Touring/White/Side roof rack/Wheel locks/Cargo cover) for $25,200 plus 4.712% tax. Dealer paid for registration, licensing, and whatever else (total $527).

Brought 2014 CX-5 GT with Tech Package, was going to get Liquid Sliver but ended up with Meteor Gray. Lot of Help from this thread and a lot of calls. $27,900 plus TTL

Wow, that is a nice price, i can only get 650 under invoice :(
Was a straight sale? o was there a trade involved?

Got that price quoted, then did a trade in. They tried to make it up on the trade in, as always they gave me a low trade price to start out. I got then to $1000 of my trade in price. Then I saved a $1000 on sales tax cause I didn't realize they only tax the difference of sales price and trade in price. So my bottom price was there and I knew my they wasn't making much on the CX-5, so I did the deal. I don't think I left too much on the table, the finance guy was not happy with the us.

Looking for opinions for those in the NY metro area (or anyone for that matter) on the following quote:

2014 AWD Grand Touring w/Tech
$29,000.00

That price is before doc fee of $300 and TTL. Opinions on how this stacks up to others who have gotten a AWD GT w/tech? There is no mazda loyalty or military discount in play here.

Thanks in advance.

That's a great price. I paid the same & I had a trade in & price included the $500 Mazda Loyalty.

I'm not sure if I'm getting a good offer or not.
2014 AWD Touring pearl white (or whatever the color is called), Bose/Moonroof package and roof rails, which I didn't want but they are saying they have to deliver the vehicle that way since it was shipped that way.
$27,500 + $200 processing and taxes, tags/registration

When I back out the options it becomes a base of $25,920 I believe.

This is before a Mazda loyalty discount of $500 and a $200 financing incentive.

I forgot to say that the price was with no loyalty or military, wasn't eligible, and was in Baltimore, Maryland.

Loving the CX-5 so far!!(cabpatch) Especially filling it up yesterday for the first time and getting 29.8 MPG with 65/35 mixed city/highway, which is better than my other car, manual 2011 Scion tC.
