what color to paint brakes

i vote black. or silver. You shouldn't really be having special brake colors on stock breaks. You shouldn't really have custom brake colors if your car isn't throwin' down either.

like for ex., my downhill bike is lime green. I can only pull it off because I can throw down on the mountain, otherwise, stay away from trying to stand out.

To each his own I guess. Why buy rims and have your calipers be rusty and look like s***? Just because your trying to dress your car up doesn't mean your trying to make it the fastest out their. Their are plenty of people (with warranties etc) that aren't doing any "go-fast" mods (myself included) until it's up or at all. You can make your car look nice without having "go-fast" mods IMHO. What your saying is kinda like "well, I might as well buy a rusty Civic because my clean MS6/MS3 etc isn't as fast as a Corvette."

I painted mine red but painted the clips black, I also put on black mazdaspeed decals that are in the true mazdaspeed font.

no, I said silver or black. That would make them look clean, without making them look shouty.
