The guy in the VR6 i raced said i had flames coming out my exhaust when i passed him during the race. he knows less than zilch about cars, but im curious to see if hes right what that means...

yeah, since i'm such a enviromentally friendly person, i put a 12V lighter in my rear section to ignite all my unburt gas..nice guys are rice guys.

what pdh said. i take it you're running catless right? man i wish i could throw flames.....maybe i'll be cheap and get that bee-r rev limiter :p

no i have one cat! lol! so its not dangerous? except to anyone trying to have a cookout behind me?

you have a cat? hmm....haha, might wanna check it then. cause usually the cat will catch most of the unburned fuel....

it might be gutted or high flow...it came withe the downpipe from mp3skater..i could be running rich as ****, but i cant really tell TOO much without a w/b because my fuel pressure gauge only goes up to 100...im guessing im running at least 13:1

I take it you have the rear cat..that would do a damn thing to stop blowback. I was running on just my front cat until i got my header and i was getting blowback real bad..(the jersey meet was a prime example) Now i just rip 3ft of flame at tailgating rice boys.

Might not be either ... at Rev It Up last night there was a stock RX-8 drifting and when he would let off from doing a burnout he would dump flames --- it was SWEET.

well cool, im shooting flames...lol...but if i leaned out a little bit on my FMU couldnt i gain some more power? or should i just leave it the way it is until i get a wideband?

don't leave it, its horrendus..mine is intentional. check the FMU..your running rich..keep your on the wideband..(if you have one)

i dont for now so i should prolly just leave it until i get one and can tune it better. i rarely hit 8psi anyhow.

you could absolutely turn running way rich into more power with CORRECT tuning. that is vital. I bet with RIGHT tuning, running that rich, you could add over 10whp.

well the begi seems to be great for tuning (not as good as a standalone mind you, but also at like 1/4 of the price) so im sure if i talk to beau he can tell me what to do.
