What bov is loud at stock boost?

:
Yellow 2003.5 MSP!
I have the forge msp01 and it hardly makes a sound.

Are the greddy bov adjustable? From what i understand, if you loosten the spring or something it'll open more under lower psi.

I dont know if this is true but i also heard that a bov will make a car run more rich.

im not sure about that..but thats just me. i have a Greddy Type s right now and my afr are just the same with the stock bpv. yes its adjustable. the greddy is extremely loud, even recirculated.

***it will run rich IF you run vta.
happened to me, after 2 months, fouled out my spark plugs.

yup get a ebay greddy type s knock off, dont be discouraged by the "knock off" status. there are no rubber diaphragms or anything like that inside so it cant break. there are 2 springs inside so you can adjust for how much boost u are running and it has an adjustment screw to adjust how quick it opens. --> this way basically u adjust how loud and obnoxious you want it.

and none of that running rich crap

If you remove one of the springs out of the GReddy Type S (and maybe RS as well?) it will operate better at low boost. Google Type S spring mod, the Eclipse/3000GT guys do it all the time since that's a popular BOV for them.

Otherwise the HKS will be very loud as well.

But most of us will tell you to recirculate it, it's better overall and venting is kinda... rice...

please dont get an ebay one. were talking about boost here, a 20$ bov must be that price for reason..
you get what you pay for is what im saying, specially with something as important as a blow off valve

I know nothing about the MS3, but as far as the MSP goes you will have stalling issues if you are running BOV only without relocating the MAF. By relocating I mean cutting the outlet charge pipe leading to the throttle body, and placing the MAF in between the TB and BOV. That way you can VTA without stalling or running pig rich because you will be releasing the air before the MAF reads it. If it is the other way around, you will be taking metered air out of the system and that is what causes the ECU to dump fuel.

HKS is a good standbye. not the best ever, but its a good sound and people who know their s*** will recognize it.
someone has a sard R2D2 for sale right now, im a big fan of that one, and its not common. universal fit too, no flange, just clamps.

lol yea im selling my Greddy Type S as well, i wanna try out the HKS for a while see how i like it

i'm sorry dude but ur just wrong, do you even know how a BOV even works. there is only one moving part, a valve, and in order to hold 25 psi or more all it has to have is a stronger spring.

also somebody already mentioned it but, if you want to run without recirculation, then you would need to relocate your MAF as close to the TB as possible.
