What are the options?

Hello again...

I wanted to see if there was an option for lowering my speed that I have failed to find...
Let me start with this:
I want to lower the vehicle very very very little.... I like the stance now but would just like to close that wheel gap a little bit.
I will never be "tracking" the car I will not be doing autocross or anything of that sort.
I do have aftermarket wheels and tires but they retain stock diameter.

So.... coilovers would be a massive amount of money for parts I would not put to use and all I read about with springs is they blow shocks up and ruin your ride....
Any springs out there with very little drop that dont blow stuff up?

Is there another option? or just move on?

Thanks in advanced

Lowering

I did not choose to lower my MS3. I went with Hankook Ventus Evo tires on the OEM wheels and Koni FSDs.

Now, I have two friends with the same year MS3s. The first friend has MS coilovers. Believe it or not he favored them because of brand loyalty as he likes everything to be Mazda and most of all, they are painted red. His ride is very firm. So firm that when we go over speed bumps in the parking lot my fillings seem like they want to shake loose. But he tracks his car and he does'nt like to change his adjustments between street and track use. Total coilover cost, $2,000 plus tax and installation.

My other friend has COBB springs and KONI Sport shocks. It lowered her car almost an inch and she has adjustable dampers via a dial on the front strut towers. The rears must be removed for each adjustment. Her ride is nice. Not too hard, not too soft, just right as Goldilocks would say. If I had to it over again I would choose her choice of the COBB/KONI setup and wheels with a 220/40/18 tire. Total cost, under $1,000 plus tax and installation.

The only other thought that I have is to get a taller tire, but you may need to roll your fender lips.

BigDaddyMS3, your friend with Cobb springs, is she local too? I'm from San Jose and would like feel the ride with the Cobb springs and Koni Sport shocks.
