What about these gauges? (Blitz BLM)

I finally got enough money to get a boost gauge...more gauges to come later.

Okay, I've done some searching and the only gauges I like are Blitz BLM, Greddy, and Autometer C2 Cobalt.

C2 Colbalt are my favorite but I heard they are too bright and inaccurate. Is that true? Any pics? The Greddy gauges are cool too but they are expensive for functions I do not really need...like warning light and etc.

I kinda leaning towards Blitz BLM because I like the whitish/blue back light...and they are the cheapest on my list.

They feature a carbon style bace, quartz lense and an aluminum bezel. Its electronic so it suppose to give a better reading?

Does anyone have them or have any problems with them? Does anyone have any they want to sell me...before I buy it from this RX-7 site. Any other suggestions? You guys can skool me cuz I don't know anything about gauges.

I like them a lot too; it all depends on if you like the "bar" reading instead of psi...I think that's all the Blitz comes in, right?

If they do have psi readings, then that would probably be the one I go with, but the colors don't really match the interior, they are sweet though.

Yeah thats the only thing that annoyed me...kPa...greddy, Blitz and HKS are all mesured in bar. I'll get use to it 1 bar is 14.5 PSI right? Metric system is the tool of the devil!

I dont really like the Amber/orange/red look. Yeah it will match the car but I want white/blue/colbalt...type gauges. It will look funky but I always liked the blue gauges on VWs...but I want something brighter and vibrant. Pkus I have yet to see anyone have these gauges...they are diffrent. I see alot of autometer and Greddy but never Blitz.

hmmm thats one of my question...mechanical or electronic. I would assume electronic cuz the higher quality ones are electronic and they are generally mroe expensive.

if you're lookin' for psi & orange-red, then Defi is the only one's I've found. Defi D-Gauges:

The only thing is they read up to 35 psi....something I can learn to deal w/ for having a matching interior. Plus, the faces are white, very close to stock.

I have the Autometer Phantom (20 psi) w/ red light. It matches perfect. I am also using the CF cup. The whole thing looks stock.

I have the C2 cobalts and they are very nice. I got the electrical, but the mechanical gauges are just as accurate if you're on a budget. Install a dimmer when you put 'em in, so you can have control over the brightness. I really have always dug the VW's too, my friend got a GTI in 2000 and I loved the interior lighting in that thing, more soothing to the eyes than the harsh orange/red.

I am working on getting the temp/climate controls to match this next week, but with the indiglo overlays and the C2 gauges, my car already looks way better than stock.

My camera does no justice, the glow is smooth and even from the C2's, not white in the middle.

hmmm, I'm liking the C2 Cobalts again. Maybe I'll get the Blitz BLM boost gauge (cheaper then C2) and then get my other gauges in C2 cobalt (when I have $$). How did you get the instrument panels to glow blue like that? I know what you mean...Im a big fan of VW/Audi instrument colors too.
