Went to the drag strip...

Well, just got done breaking in my MS3, so figured it was time to get a baseline et before I start modding over the winter.

I thought I was going to be able to do a little better, but oh well.

Best ET was

R/T .164
60' 2.352
330' 6.366
1/8 9.533@78.63
1000' 12.256
1/4 14.514@98.67

Best MPH
R/T .017
60' 2.382
330' 6.434
1/8 9.605@76.40
1000' 12.304
1/4 14.572@99.51

Almost every run was a 14.5. I could not improve. I got my 60' down to a 2.21 but ran a 14.6. Go figure. There was a SRT-4 with TBE, and intake I ran most of the time. His best time was 13.996@99.xx, but most of the time it was a good race because his RT's weren't the best. Once we were going it was close.

To compare this to my other high hp FWD car. I owned a 04 silver that went 14.2@98 in the dead of august. Then my 05 SRT-4 went 14.025@103.69 in weather like I had today. Both stock.

The SRT-4's are easier to get off the line and shift fast. THe MS3 wheel hops like crazy. I have never been in a car that wheel hops like this one. Guess I have to get used to the MS3 still. I thought every time on the 1-2 shift I was going to break something.

My friend who is a damn good driver could only muster up a 14.7@98.xx in the MS3. He has gone 12.2 on stock turbo in a SRT-4.(1.6 60'), today he ran 11.6@120(stage 3)

Next mods are going to be solid motor mounts, and short throw. IT needs them desperately.

I just wish I improved on my time like I did in my friends 06 GTO. Damn is that thing fun to drive. Makes me miss my Cobra.

1st run left at idle- 2.4 60' 14.0@103
2nd run left at 900 2.26 60' 13.92@103
3rd run left at 1300-1400 2.1 60' 13.5@105(Beating his best)

Good times.

At least you know what needs work now! lol

My best times would probably be 16 or so..... I haven't had the opportunity to gun it in my MS3 yet. There's no way to do so on the streets here..besides can't afford the risk if you know what I mean! Keep at it, and let us know how it goes when you're done upgrading the mounts and STS.

I can tell you the STS is a great improvement over stock, but I don't have to since I'm sure you already know!

you need to work on ure 60s. Also just incase you dont know shift at 5800 every gear and get into 5th.

I second this statement. Get those 60' down. You can feather the clutch to lose most of the wheelhop, and motor mounts help with the wheel hop as well. If your spinning off the line, you are waisting time and power.

I know. The car was a b**** to get out of the hole. I shifted at 5800 every gear except I did not shift into fifth. I just ran it out. I lost 4mph shifting to 5th.

Track prep was great. I just couldn't get the launch right. I either hopped like mad, or bogged. I never even heard the tires spin once.

No matter what dyno graphs show, 1/4 times are all consistent.

14.0-14.5 stockish times

stock i went 14.2 @ 101 with a 2.3 60. That night i hit a 14.2 @ 99 missing 5th with a 2.12 60. Added a intake and hollowed out the stock 2nd cat and went 13.6 @ 103 with a 2.05 60. All this was done on stock tires.

wow, 14.2 with the same 60' as me? What am I missing. Can it be that shift to fifth?

How are you launching as well?
