went through 2 sets of tires

so whats the problem? are they wearing strangly? only on the inside? or the outside? or what?

you must remember that ANY performance tire is made of a softer compound...its why you can corner so well with them...and softer compounds mean fewer miles out of them....

do you have a LOT of miles on your car?

I roatate my tires at every oil change...do the same on my wifes P5 as well.....we are right at 20K miles on her p5 and there is still a lot of tread left...and the wear is nice and even all the way across and on all tires......I would expeck to get another 8 to 10K out of them.

How often do you rotate you tires? They should rotated every oil change depending how aggresive of a driver you are.

i rotate every oil change and they wear evenly but i drive kinda hard so ima slow down much... and the parelli's are v-rated!!

By that you're saying that your stock tires aren't V-rated?
Aren't your stock tires V rated? I know mine are

You rotate them and the wear is even, so it probably isn't the alignment. The only thing I can think of is the mileage. If it wears out quicker than the warranty, take the tires back. Have them check it out. If it's evenly worn in less time than the warranty states, they might replace it for free. America's Tires Company is really good about that.

the parelli's are v-rated!!

The letter rating on a tire is for the max. sustainted speed of the carcass and tread. Different V rated tires may have much different tread compounds (dry vs. all season). You have to compare the tread wear ratings that are molded on the the sidewalls to get a better understanding of the longevity of the tread. Jim

JrTek, there is one thing for sure that you better get use to....and that is if you plan on driving a car that handles as well as ours do...and you will be putting performance tires on the car to ensure it keeps handling that well.....get use to paying for tires that typically do not last anywhere near as long as other tires. its not uncommon for performance tires to last ONLY 20K miles.....if you get 30K or more they are the exception to the general rule. not to mention these tires are typically more expensive. It just happens to be a fact of life in the performance tire world. performance tires mean softer compounds to grip the road better.....softer compounds means faster wear.....its just how it works.

Yeah, he's telling the truth, I only got 11k miles out of my factory SP9000's on my MP3. Of course that was will no rotating and hard ass driving.
