i used to work for a company that is based out of Hollywood, FL. my father in law still works for them and says they are running off generators, but otherwise its pretty calm around there.

yo, been back in the stone age for the last 5 days, no power, no water. me and my mom just checked into the sheridan suites, we'll be here for a week or until power is back at home

my house is fine, the street flooded but it wasn't too bad, fence fell and i'm missing a gazillion roofs tiles

I just got my power/phone turned on. We got rocked in West Palm. I'm going to Moore Haven tomorrow to help my uncle with his roof, the storm actually pulled 3/4 of the PLYWOOD off of his roof.

just got power today. After all the no power and electricity for 7 days, the worst is the cold showers.

My Uncle's awesome 2 story brick home is getting demo'd. He lives in Moore Haven.
My Aunt's house in Pehokee exploded, luckily she was at my above said uncle's house. And another Aunt's house almost got FUBARed in Canal Point.
My parents' new ( to them ) house needs a 80% rebuild in Okeechobee City. The dike around Lake Okeechobee almost breached between Pehokee and Belle Glade.

Lake Okeechobee averages around 14 ft. deep although it one of the U.S.'s largest freshwater lakes. the storm suge in the lake was so bad that in nearly broke over a 35 ft. high dike.
