Welding in an 02 bung on custom exhaust.

:
Yellow 2003.5 MSP!
So... this is what i've gathered from the searches. The MSP's have two 02 sensors, one on the j-pipe and one between the two cats. If u were to make a custom cat-less j-pipe back exhaust. I would, a) plug the 1st 02 sensor on the j-pipe where it originally was, and, b) weld in an 02 bung in the area where the second bung would have been, between the two cats, and use the non-fouler trick.

Is this right?

There is a o2 sensor on the turbo manifold and a o2 sensor between the cats. There is an extra o2 bung on the j-pipe for if you would want to install a wideband o2 sensor. If you don't have a wideband and don't plan on getting one, then you don't need the extra j-pipe bung. I suggest buying a quality exhaust instead of having 1 custom built. It will last longer and look better. I suggest the corksport j-pipe, and what ever j-pipe back exhaust you want. The corksport exhaust exhaust pipe is also suggested.
