Weird white smoke??

Here's the story: I went and filled up my car, then drove home. I was chillin in my car waiting for my friend. As i was texting on my phone, i smelled this weird smell around my car. I looked in my left side mirror, i saw smokes coming out the exhaust! WTF! it was weird. I was scared because i thought that guy gave me regular gas instead of premium. But i double check, it was premium. So my question was wtf was that smoke for? where and why did it happen?

If you car was idling for a when the white smoke appears, it seems like you have the dreaded turbo smoke. I have the same issue when idling for a long amount of time, I think a few drops of oil make it through the turbo seal and create a crap-ton of smoke.

I've read a bunch of different opinions on what causes this (some say exhaust mods), but my problem now is re-creating the issue to get a new turbo under warranty. Others say that running 5W-40 oil helps out.

That, or a blown head gasket. Oil smoke should be blue.

oil smoke is white with a slight blue hue when you really look at it. if happened durring idle most likely the dreaded turbo seals. how many miles? what mods? are you the only owner of the car, or bought used?

i'm on 13K ish miles now. Believe it or not, my car is bone stock. Only put in a TWM SS. I bought this brand new. This smoke thing only happened to me once ever. U think i should wait until it happen again, or take it to the dealer now?

you can take to the dealer but if its not currently happining there is nothing they can do and you might get charged for visit. i would wait. you might try and replecate the issue again, IE let it idle for a while and see if it persist if it dose then i would take to dealer then and try to replecate for them.
