Since I have had my new CX-5 (1 month), this is the second issue I have had with the brakes. Initially, the vehicle came with warped front rotors, which the dealer repaired when the vehicle was about 1 week old. Ever since then, I have noticed a strange sensation when releasing the brake pedal on a slight incline. I am familiar with hill start assist (my other vehicle has it) and I do not believe this is related. My issue is that when releaseing the brake pedal on a slight incline the pedal sometimes moves back in to position very roughly. It almost feels like the pedal grinds its way back in a very choppy fashion (the pedal hesitates on the way up repeatedly, as if it were binding on something). On a flat surface, downhill, or steeper uphill the brakes are absolutely perfect. I have inspected the pedal linkage, brake light switch, and do not believe it to be a master cylinder/booster issue as it only happens when the incline is slight. I plan on checking for a loose brake pad this weekend but after that I am out of ideas. Anyone else ntice this?
