WeatherTech floor mat users?

I received weathertech floor mats for the speed3 for xmas. All but the driver's side mat fit perfect. My clutch gets caught on the mat.

I am rather disappointed because I know these things aren't cheap. They're supposed to be good quality. I was thinking of trying to heat 'em up or cut them myself to make them fit ,but considering the cost and the quality the company advertises I've decided to first call weathertech (which I did already) and they're engineering dept. is supposed to call me back.

Anyone else have this problem?

p.s. yes I know I could simply go out and get cheap ones for a 50 bucks but they were a gift.

EDIT: I didn't wait. I just trimmed a 2'' long X 1'' wide section around the clutch pedal. Still pretty bummed I had to do that for the price over something so trivial when you design the product but nonetheless it doesn't catch now and better than stock.

My clutch pedal arm touches the carpet two inches above the driver's side mat. Either they're the wrong mats or the pedal arm is loose? You did hook them in, right?

I just got mine, my clutch pedal doesn't catch, you might want to check your pedal. Are you using the stock pedals or did you switch them?

Stock pedals, i've never adjusted. It is hooked in. The pedal catches almost 2'' from its full throw. Weathertech said they checked the p/n and it was the correct p/n too. I think the mat is not right. The mat does not touch the carpet/flooring in the clutch pedal region just after the left foot rest region. There is about a 3'' gap between the floor and the mat. I can post a picture later. But I'm seriously disappointed based on their quality and cost.

The engineering dept is supposed to give me a call back.

Yeah, I'd get a refund. Not sure they'll give you one since you cut into the mats already though, probably SoL at this point :x Good luck anyway!

i know. but if it was my money i'd return it. you can't see it and it works okay i guess I'll make a stink on the phone if/when they call thanks. I'm so bummed.

Something's not right... The part number on my set is 441471/2. Hope they'll still do something for you now the the mat has been altered.

ya they checked the p/n and said its okay. I know i hope they do something too. Its barely been altered for what its worth. Nonetheless... they're still functional for the most part just for the price I was disappointed. The one mat that I desperately wanted to fit didn't fit.
