WE NEED: FMIC kit to fit stock hardpipe setup

Ok guys, we seriously need to see if one of our vendors will make a FMIC setup that will just bolt onto any of the stock hardpipe kits we have. You know, for the guys like me who have a hardpipe kit with the stock SMIC. This would just be additional piping and a FMIC core that would fit to an existing hardpipe kit from DSMConvert, **********, TurboHoses, etc.

I seriously think this would be a huge hit Im sure with lots of the members here on the board. Right now our only options if we have a harpipe kit are:
1) Buy the TurboHoses SMIC
2) Sell the hardpipe kit and buy a full FMIC kit - which is a huge pain in the ass

Who else thinks this is a great idea?
Maybe we will get the attention of a few vendors...

well the turbo to IC pipe is going to have to be extended anyways to get to the front of the car, and BEGI already makes a kit that reuses the IC to TB pipe since replacing it with a hardpipe yields no performance gains and adds weight, though it is optional.

i definatly agree i was actually looking at the stock mitsu starion intercooler because it has a pipe that runs back across the top of it. it would be rly nice though since i was forced into buying the stock hard pipes but would still like to do a FMIC

Just go to your local tuner / bender / fabricator. I don't think there will be enough interest here, and even if there was.... the price would only be a bit lower. Buy yourself a good core, take it to a shop, and have them bend you up some pipes that will go from the IC to the hardpipes. Who knows, maybe I am wrong.... I just can't see this going through.

sounds like a good idea to me dont know how popular it would be

I dont think a lot of people would in interested in this. Due to the fact Stock Hardpip(200)+addition pipe to make a FMIC(400)+IC(300)=a expersive setup where the air has to travel longer distance.

the other option which was the plan from the beginning was the pannauto kit which was designed for either the full FMIC or just the hard pipes to stock intercooler or a FMIC to stock pipes. Call justin at pannauto he will be able to give you pricing (858) 278 7266

hmm sounds intresting

so i guess that would be where somebody needs to pick up the slack (vendors) atleast make a FMIC and include a turbo to IC pipe i sure it owuld atleast cut some of the cost and for us with hardpipes i know people are busting there hot pipe all the time so we could just resell them
