RIP Shannon. Gone, never forgotten.
They are free, so really you aren't purchasing them, just ordering them.

The accident wasn't caused by the tires he had on the car. The car was travelling at a high rate of speed, hit a curb and then bounced into the air. :(

We drove by the accident site last weekend and went to visit Shannon's Mom. Hard to believe the year has gone by so quickly.

then he flew to the pole hitting the roof first at tremendous speed which caused the car to bend from trunk to hood

...yeah details that could have been left out

holy ****. i just saw this thread now. holy **** i gotta start being more careful with my speed that could have been me a number of times.

If 70 mph can really wrap a car around a pole like that.... Can't imagine what will happen if I hit somethin doin 140+.... probably wouldn't be any car left to take pictures off.... at least not being able to fit all the parts into 1 shot....

I try to look at these things from the bright side... he was driving his car.. doing something he probably loved... Its better to go out doing that.. than from some drunk driver... I can only hope we all go out doing something we love....

Chances are that his original ground speed "might have been" 70mph, but once the car launched, the momentum already there and the potential, untapped momentum due to the loss of the friction normally associated w/tire traction, propelled the car into the pole much faster than that.
I'm sure that it all happened so fast that he never knew what hit him.

odd... it now costs 2.50 per decal... still free shipping tho

Coming home from work this evening on the train, I noticed that I was in car #1338, and made me remember this.

I cannot believe so much time has passed.

Reading this thread gave a lot to think about, Even though I did not know 1338 it seem like he was really nice and sincere person. I'll keep him and his family in my prayers. It's awesome to see how all parts of the country people cared...God bless

Thats a negative ghost rider. Hitting the curb would have slowed the car down, and in the air it only went up, which means that the actual energy of the car moving forward was transfered to potential energy. When all four tires were on the road and the engine was propelling it the car experienced maximum velocity, and when that propulsion was removed (tires no longer moving the car forward) the only thing it could possibly do is slow down.

I need everyone's input

About a month ago I came across this thread and took the time to read everything, after reading everyone's input including 1338's family.I felt like I knew him,and could not not help but sheded a tear for this homie, and too be honest it gave a lot to think about and a lot to be thankful for,It was on my mind all day, especially when I went to his myspace and read his blog that he last typed,So I used the song on his myspace and copy some of his pictures on myspace and found some nice and respectful layouts and made a slide show and I was wondering with everyones input is that something I should keep too myself or would everyone including his family's like too see it? I used some of the car wreck pic, but I know with these layouts I put on there would give a different look? I hope no one takes this personal, But this man (1338) was an awesome guy from what I read and I think thats what made me do the slide show. Please reply or reach me at myspace the link is at the bottom. Much respected to the family of 1338.
Thank you
