Water remains on side windows

I have a 2018 CX-9.
If the front driver or passenger windows is wet with rain water, or fogged on the outside, this water remains even after lowering and raising the power window. The black rubber trim is not pushing on the exterior side of the window hard enough to “squeegee” the glass.
Q: is this a common problem, or just mine?

I think it's a common thing, at least on the CX-9 and CX-5. It's never been an issue for me though, the water just beads off the glass anyway during the drive. And fog doesn't usually appear on the outside for me, it's usually on the inside. Fog goes away pretty quick if I turn HVAC recirculation off so that the car takes outside air in, and I set the fan to full blast or Auto.
