water intercooler.. anyone seen this?

The unit is available, they are based out of Canada. The retail price on it is $899 canadian and with the exchange rate right now your better off with a FMIC then a water/air intercooler.

idrvslo made one i believe...i will have to find the thread.

more power with it is questionable, most likely not BUT its an amazing setup, it keeps your car running cooler at a constant temp.

if it runs cooler, wouldn't it make more power?>

well you would think, but from the set ups that I have worked on by simply changed from a front mount to a water setup there was not a jump in power......BUT it allowed me to tune the car more aggressively which of course produced higher numbers.

cheers

Yea the water/air intercoolers has been tried and trued many times over the years, Just think if it as a second radiator cuz that's all it is, a heat exchanger. It wont' make more power cuz figure it this way, air temps is NOT constant, so on cooler nights you can make more power, on hotter days obviously you will not cuz hot air is harder to compress. Now with a Water based unit it will hold what'ever temp is needed to keep the car from overheating that means if your temps is steady say 260 degrees then that's the air temp that your car is going to judge your A/F ratio by when you press on the gas, stochimetric or not.
