water bypass

hi, i've heard that since you SHOULD not get water into a cold air intake, i've heard that there is a water by pass system taht you can get for it. is this ture and how does it work?

I have an Injen CAI and have NOT found it necessary to have a bypass valve. BTW, I live in Oregon where it rains a lot! As long as you don't try crossing a lake, you should be fine.
