Washing and waxing

I'd Avoid the power washers, Hell I've been even trying to avoid drying off the car with all towels. I've been using the Shop Vac in blower mode which seems to be working great.

I've used both your #3 & #4 in the past, but I have to say the Zaino products worked better then those.
oh, Zaino is great! it is perhaps the best for show cars. But, then, that's just it. Zaino is a product that has to be reapplied more often than regular waxes. And I wash my car a lot. :)

Zaino lasts longer than the rest though but if your looking for a great shine, layer it and keep doin it. I have 10-20 coats and it is unbelievably good

Here's a little insight to the carwash thing...I've been detailing cars at a automated carwash for 4 years. They really don't do much...barely even knock the dirt off. That's why we are there to finish the process. In my years detailing, I have seen several cars come out with hairline scratches. Since 85% of the water is recycled and since the cloths are rarely cleaned, this tends to happen. If you have a white car, carwashes are great. But, any other car, you are on your own. I agree with the others here, letting someone else clean your car is like letting someone feel up your lady...my car is my baby, and no one will be rubbin' up on her! Anywho, carwashes strip the wax right off your car. Believe me, it has happened to mine. Therefore, I don't recommend taking your car to an automated carwash. I don't even use my free washes there. Do it yourself at home. Put a good wax on it and keep it clean. If you don't have the time to spend all day waxing and you need a quick glossy shine, I recommend Rain-X quick wax. It is a great product for between waxes. You can find it almost anywhere (Wal*Mart...etc). I hope this helps.

like towelboy, i'd rather wash my car than let anyone else wash it. Unfortunately, today i spent 5 hrs washing and waxing and just a couple hours afterwards, it started sprinkling. man, and today was warm and sunny and not even muggy. just bad luck. REALLY BAD luck. :(

haha i love washing my car i find it relaxing and peaceful becuase on one bothers me! :) though my waxing schudule is a bit more vigiorus i wax every week, or every other week wax build up is a great thing dont ya think! meguiers(i hope thats right) makes an awsome products i like 3 step, and thier NXT generation tech wax work wonders

damn this thread is back from the dead. ;)

I am too cheap to buy Zaino. :D I would try it, but my car has so many rock chips on the front end, it would be a waste. ;)
