Didn't we already do this? You mean the car wasn't running all week?

i know it's confusing....i took the begi off that you and i put on so i could install the aftermarket one back on and use the car...i realized, after talking to corky bell's folks, that the modle 2025 i'm using MUST have either the stock or aftermarket fuel regulator (only the 2035 can be used in lieu of the stock/aftermarket fuel regulator). so that's why i was blowing gas by the o ring, i could only get the car to run right at about 70ish psi on the begi...lesson learned!

woah, way over might head. Now I know how you feel when I talk watts and ohms with Oleg. Guess that's why I'll never turbo our Protege5 but I sure can install a kick ass stereo system!

Ahh ok, so you found the model number? I thought you said we were using a 2035? Glad you got it sorted.

I know what you mean Chris, the stereo stuff/electrical stuff boggles my mind. But after watching a few aftermarket turbo stories I would never attempt it. NA is the way for me. Working with Mark last Saturday was good experience and I'm amazed how Mark got it to run in the 1st place. Kudo's to Mark

haha...i love a challenge! by the way...i can talk a few ohms, watts, amps and volts (ohms law)

Jeff, you have to let me know how you like that wax and how long it lasts (keeps beading) for you.

Bringing back the old thread for an update...

Oleg...here are a couple of shots I took yesterday. I have washed the car but not waxed it since the meet. Holding up pretty well, I would say! :) Thanks again!!!

Jeff, thanks for the update! That's pretty cool! :) Not too shabby for 3 and a half months. I can see that the beading is not as tight anymore (did you notice that too?), but seems like it's there still.

Yeah, it is not as tight. But definitely beading longer than when I have used the Turtle Wax Ice! That seems to last about 3 weeks...on the plus side, it is easy to apply.

This is pretty awesome for a mostly natural wax :) This was Collinite 845 Insulator Wax, if anyone is curious.

How hard do you remember it was to apply? I thought it was pretty easy to apply: we basically hazed it on, waited 20 mins, and buffed out. (Although I don't remember how difficult the buffing of it was? I think you did the buffing out?)

Any estimate on how many times you washed the car since the wax? Was it by hand or other means?

It seemed pretty easy to apply (at least watching you was :)) It did take a little effort to buff out but nothing major. And Bruce and Pat gave a hand which helped.

Unfortunately I have only washed the car once since then (peep) and that was via a car wash (peep) (peep). Oh man, I'm in trouble now....

I didn't pay extra for any wax/polish at the car wash but I guess some still could have been applied? (dunno)
