Warranty question

Sorry for my ignorance; I've owned American cars, so I know something about major warranty service. My question relates to something pretty minor, but I don't think it should be occuring on a 14 month old car with 14K on the odo. My problem has to deal with the little plasti-chromed Mazda emblem on the engine cover. The "chrome" on mine is wrinkled and would easily peel off if something were to rub against it. Is this a warranty item or is the service guy gonna laugh in my face? I'll try to post a picture tomorrow, but the forecast is calling for a foot of snow.

Trim is usually covered for 12 months or 12000 miles whichever comes first... While I doubt it will be covered it cant hurt to ask...

they might do a "good-will" adjustment if it's something minor like that. again, it won't hurt to ask.

Yeah, that's kind of what I figured. I need to take it to a different dealer than my local one anyway to see if I can get approved for the Type A clutch replacement.
