I have it. how long will it take mazda to get this done> clutch TSB? I do not have to re buy tranny fluid either, correct?

does this fall under engine warranty?

It took the dealership 3 days to do mine. In the end I got a new clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate. They changed out my transmission fluid too.

It took them like 4 hours to do mine. They will put a crappy tranny fluid, you can ask him to use your old one if it's still good, but you will need to buy a little more in case they spill some or something...

4 HOURS? wow. isnt it a lot of labor to do this whole thing? i dont know much about how hard the clutch is to get at or taking it apart, etc

yeah...Unless they disassmble the cv joint on the driver's side (leaving the inner joint in the diff, and pulling the axle itself out...And then repacking the cv when they reinstall the box)and leave the intermediate shaft in when they remove the gearbox...that would make it cumbersome, and more time consuming...It is cheaper for them just to drain the gear oil and refill it when they are done...A couple qts of Redline are much cheaper than a new clutch/flywheel...:D

Oops forgot about that option...and they probably would not have a problem with doing that...

what about getting the shift fork replaced or syncros replaced, any idea how i get them to do that? :D

Take the TSB for that along to...They might be cool about it...they might not...they will want to drive it probably...but some techs, such as in Elemental's case, claim that gear grinding is "normal"
