I am wondering what a safe* boost is for my msp.
It's a 2003.5 with the following upgrades
Injen cold air
Upgraded smic with street unit aluminum pipes
Boost gauge
Turbo timer
Air/fuel gauge
Hks bov

And after income tax it will also have
626 intake
Fmic
Mishimoto radiator
And a new gt2554r turbo

Any help is appreciated
* I understand raising boost past stock levels is very dangerous on stock internals, however I'm wanting to up it to around 8ish, I want 200 whp

im at 8 psi now and as long as your car is all tuned up and is mechanicaly in good working order you should be fine, but keep in mind a free flowing exhaust is also pretty important

Well I have about 2k to spend...I'm trying to get the most "bang" for my buck.
I do intend to get the mm inserts and I have been considering the corksport 80 mm exhaust.

And I bought my car used not long ago, is there a easy way to see if I have the ssafc already installed?

the split maybe the best bet. I after seeing the screen shots on how to tune it seems pretty easy. Thats the next upgrade I would like to do.

Is it an actual wideband or lights show? If its not a wideband chuck it in the trash and get a wideband along with ssafc

Lightshow all the way....yeah it was there already when I got the car. What a good wide band aem?

make sure you get v2 of the ssafc so you can datalog using the wideband and the tuner itself and it takes 100% of guess work out on tuning

With 2 grand to work with, exhuast and front mount, mainly front mount is where I felt the most power increase.

Ohk income tax came and went and this is what I'm working with now...
Custom Fmic
Hks ssqv3
Relocated maf
3" pope dp
626 intake
Sri injen
Forge wastegate
Mishimoto rad w/ two 10" slims
Hks tt
Boost gauge, narrowband...
And a ssafc v2 awaiting install...

I love the car now, it's a lot more peppy but it still doesn't pull like it should
3/4 throttle feels faster than wot, I'm thinking because of the rich stock tune.

After the tune I really want to be around 200whp.
Any suggestions?

Then why wast money on a narrow band? They literally do nothing, you're better off checking the plugs to make sure they're tan and not white or black...

Not trying to bust your bubble, but worst case scenario the narrow band will interfere with the reading the ecu gets its only half a volt even extending or shortening that wire can cause issues much less having something else draw off of it

IIf you read my earlier post you can see that I didn't waste my money on it, it was already in the car when I bought it.
I'm just looking for some personal advice on how to abtain my goals.
Seeing as I'm fully bolted minus the rest of my exhaust, I just want to know how some of you were able to reach the 200 mark without going forged.

once you get the tunning figured out and exhaust you should be pretty close to 200whp and that will help the feeling of being faster at 3/4 pedal than at wot.

Ohk thanks guys I appreciate your input.
When are colder plugs needed

Usually at 9psi or higher.

* ZFR6F V-power NGK - Cheap recommended replacement plugs
* ZFR6FIX-11 NGK Iridium IX - Optional long term replacement
* ZFR7F/ZFR7F-11 V-power NGK - 1 range colder for modified higher boost cars that see elevated cylinder temperatures frequently.
