Want to Become a NEWBIE Here...!!!

Hey everyone:
Let me first start off by saying that I'm 75% of my decision to get the new Mazda3HB and the other 25% I'm counting on the Pros(you guys) to help me...I have a few questions regarding the performance of the Mazda3HB...
1)Mods & Upgrades- I know this is a new car but anyone knows about the speed upgrades for this car?
2)Good Looks- Are there accesories to bolt on for a kinda' custom ride..?
3)I've been car-browsing and my other posible choices are the Toyota Matrix and the VW Golf...but the Mazda caught my attention...What you guys recommend?>

I like that Mazda 3, but I haven't actually seen one in person, yet. I drive a 2003 MAZDASPEED, and it's a great car. I am sure you will get alot of your questions answered here.

prboy, you actuall only asked one question and to answer that, no as of right this moment there are no mods for this car.

1) Speed upgrades? To my knowledge, there are no bolt-ons available as of yet. Get your hands dirty and build yourself a turbo kit, or wait a little while longer.

2) Cosmetic upgrades? Again, I don't believe there are any available yet, although we have seen some prototype pictures for some body kits. I changed the antenna for a shorty, and I'll be tinting the windows soon. That's as far as I'm going to mod my 3. I never really understood why people want to change the look of a car so much. If you buy a car because you like what it looks like, why change it?

3) If you like the 3, get the 3.

I beg to differ.

Rishie just got back from Tokyo and he said there's no one making parts for the P5 or MSP anymore. It's all about the 3 now!

Also, the Mazdaspeed3 is just around the corner. Mazda has announced that once the Mazdaspeed Miata has launched, they'll definately release a Mazdaspeed 3 and 6.

yeah there should be quite a bit of opportunity to get things for the 3. one thing that would work in your favor is if you're on one of the coasts and could try and get some sponsors if your the first in your area to start modifying its a tough choice to get a car but do yourself a favor and throw out the Matrix (it was on my list too and I'm sooooo happy I didn't get one) have fun!

Another reason to please put your location in your profile. By putting in you rlocation we can give you local info - such as the fact that the highest Mazda3 engine for Puerto Rico is the 1.6l (not 100% sure on that but pretty sure).
