congrats! hey just so you know, there's a guy selling a GTSPEC trunk cage for the 2002 p5 on the forums right now...would be an awesome upgrade! I'd get it except it won't fit my 2003.5 trunk since I have the spare tire sub and it raises the floor a few inches...

honestly im bummed its not white, cuz i planned on only driving white cars in my lifetime, but when i saw the ad, i put that aside.

were picking up the car tomorrow around 11.

soooo stoked.

any one got any ideas for quick cheap appearance mods?
bulbs, light overlays?

im looking at getting the megan racing catback exhaust from protegegarage, then investing in springs and struts.

for the springs i was thinking racing beat, but the drop doesnt seem like it would do much for the wheel gap, but the plus would be the added preformance they give.

in the future, im planning drilled and slotted rotors, and maybe a big brake kit
obx headers
front and rear sway bars
and maybe if the funds allow for it different wheels.

im not planning on doing all this at once tho. i want to see the progression from stock to modded go slowly. be modest about it.

im mostly stoked im staying in the mazda family.

hehe yeah white p5's are the best...

quick appearance mods - JDM taillights, painted upper grill (see my sig - it's the little strip just under the tip of the front of the hood), painted headlights (black), and remove the side door bumpers for a cleaner look. those are all pretty easy...

is removing the side bumpers the same as removing them on a 6?

just a blow dryer and some glue cleanup stuff?

and im looking into blacking the headlights, and getting HIDs, but im not sure how the blacked out headlights wood look on a silver car.

and do i need an HID conversion kit? cuz ive seen that those are up in the 1000s. i thought i just buy the bulbs.

removing the side bumpers is the same, yes.

lots of members here have blacked out headlights on their silver p5. I think it looks great. HID conversion kit yes, but if you paid $1000 for yours then you paid about $850 too much. You can get a decent one for about $150. There is an authorized vendor or two on this site that sells HID converstion kits...I bought my kit from xenon expert I think? It's lasted 3 years and still running strong...

no the nc was short for a nickname one of my friends gave me.

im out in cali. i just got the car last night, i washed and clayed this morning when i woke up. it definetly needs to be waxed, but the car is to hot because of the sun.
