Wow. The first one had five nice cars, the Eclipse, the RX-7, the Supra, the Charger, and the R-33 we never see.
the second one had three nice cars, the Skyline that was in there for ten seconds, the Challenger (which they call a charger in the movie), and the camaro.
Both movies had a horrible exuse for a tiny pointless story line, horrible-beyond-horrible acting, bad cinematography, decent directing, but nothing to brag about, and ridiculous random technical lingo ("you blew the piston rings with your nawz and your intake manifold blew (what???) causing your floor to fall off")
And someone said that the cars were good? No. The cars looked good (some of them) but there were only two cars that were actually as fast as they looked in both movies, the Charger and Ferrari he raced in the first one, and then one from the second one, but I can't remember which one. The rest were not slow, but not nearly as fast as they billed them to be.
And the thing that pissed me off more than anything in these movies was when a Lancer evo 7 and an eclipse convertable beat a Viper SRT-10, a Mustang Cobra R, and a Z06 vette on a long distance highway race.

My dad works for FOX, so I know it for a fact. I heard it's going to star Minnie Driver she's going to have a nice Dodge Dynasty with glow in the dark paint and neons as the main car. Paul Walker won't be back, will be replaced by the kid that played Atreyu in Never Ending Story. Good news is he's going to have an MSP, bad news is he clunks out the entire soundtrack to Geto Boyz beats. Supposedly, that "I live my life a 1/4 mile at a time" line will be changed to "an 1/8 mile at a time" because 1/4 is too much for the budget cutback, but 1/8 is still in the budget. It's also 1/8 mile now because the producers think it's going to sell more tickets if all the characters run at least 11s.
