I have been interested in a vented hood for performance purposes and like the evo hood that VIS makes but like the invader styles better. Mainly bc of protection from weather conditions with drain spouts and all that the evo hood can't provide. Mazda6 w/ invader hood

Anyways I e-mailed Vis about this idea and they said they need at least 20 ppl interested in the design to make it.

Start e-mailing them about the idea for a invader style hood for proteges

theres acctually a similar thread in the for sale section i believe where tehy are trying to get a hood together but i don't know if its going well or not so you could throw this in there...

i have a vis evo hood if you are interested

i have a vis cf evo hood that has the sides(wings) of the hood painted silver. I would sell it to you if you'd like. I had it on my car forabout 3 months now i took it off for winter yet I'm not sure if i still want it. It's mint condition. Fits perfectly. if you don't want the sides painted you can either have it stripped and recleared or stripped and to match your car. just email me at trsajets11@comcast.net if you want more info. I'd be quite reasonable with price as well.

its for sunlight silver not the titanium. the silver that the 03.5 msps were non-titanium

well then aparently i am retarted then because I have a 3.5 silver msp. So we might have something here.

From what I understand the blue and silver are considered 2003.7 models, not 2003.5. I don't think they made more than two colors at once. And a total of 3 'runs' were built. 2003 (orange, black), 2003.5(titanium, yellow), 2003.7(blue, silver).
someone correct me if I'm wrong

For a quality product I'd rather go with DG Motorsports or Fiber Images.

That's right, I work for a Mazda Dealer and that's exactly how they were made and shipped to us.

well if thats the case you better hurry and run to change your sig. it says 2003.5 someone might call you a liar or something around here. Its sunlight silver. bottom line. No matter which year you guys call it thats the color its painted

I didn't know this turned into a chat on colors but thanks anyways. At least I know the real year of my car now. (feel kinda dumb bc I work at a mazda mercedes dealer too.)

so what would you tell someone who asks "what year is your car?"...are you really gonna say "well sir, i'm a proud owner of a 2003.5 mazdaspeed protege"...no youd sound stupid i think, just call it 2003

hey jersey what part of jersey you from? I used to live there and still go up quite a bit. Fiancee's parents live there. Just outside of Gloucester.

well, thanks for all the feed back. I think I realize that an invader hood would kill the lines of the car. I am going to go with the evo style.

Actually that's what I say and I explain why. I also explain what the MSP actually is because I don't drive a 4 door family commuter car. :)

Well with people I don't know I just say 2003.
