^^^ YAY! I'm super excited to see your car in person again since the transformation, Sean. :)

Ok, looks like we are going with the weekend of Febraury 17-19, 2012. Tom Long has spoken with Kevin of VIR (last Friday) and he will be getting back with us very soon. Once we hear back from him, we'll have the pricing finalized and confirmed, as which time we'll post the flyer with all of the details of the event. We are going to limit this event to 75 people to maximize the experience for everyone.

Is this open to other cars as well? Meaning, can we invite friends? Or is this a Mazda only event?

I really only have 1 person in mind who may be interested, and he'll probably turn me down anyway. lol

Oh god no. lol I'll mention it to him, but I doubt he'd be able to swing it.

I have a friend in Latrobe, PA with a '00 VW Golf that he was wanting to try this with.

It is open to anyone, we will have no problem showing folks the zoom, frekin' zoom lifestyle on and off track!

I'm really looking forward to the final details. The more I hear about this the more I'm thinking I can't miss it. :D

My car is normally in 100 pieces in February so I won't sign up to drive. Would I be able to come down and do some instructing or would I need to be a licensed instructor?

You are more than welocme to come along Bill, I know your experience and qualifications.

That would be awesome if you could help instruct, Bill. If you wouldn't mind riding with me once or twice I would greatly appreciate it since you know the Protege so well and are a great driver.(kiss)

High demand already. Bill you are going to have to start charging for your services.

I noticed on Discovery Channel's new channel, Velocity, they have a 1hr show on at 6am called 'The Edge: Grand Am Road Racing', so I've been recording them. They're all from like 2010 though, so I'm sure most of you have seen it.

They had a segment on a race at VIR though that got me pretty excited...lol

Ok, I'll plan on coming down and hop around into a bunch of cars to try to help out. It should be fun.
