Vinyl on the headlight

i have vinyl eyelids on my headlights and i wanna know if it will be safe to bake my headlights so i can paint the housings. i worried that if i bake them with the vinyl on the headlight, it will peel or even melt. i tried taking the vinyl off of the headlights , but as i was peeling the one side up, i began to notice that the glue was stuck on the headlight so i sticked the vinyl back on.

will it be safe to bake with vinyl? or will i have to peel the eyelids off and figure a way to clean the glue off of the headlights and then bake the lights?

I would think no. I baked mine with my carbon fiber eyelids with no problems. But vinyl is a different story.
