VERY quick question

My turbo is leaking oil and I'm taking it to the dealer next week. All I have ever done to the car is a custom intake. Will the dealership give me crap about the intake, as if an intake could possibly cause the turbo to leak oil?? Or should I be okay and they will be sensible? Anyone who has had experience with the dealer with mods on their car would be extremely welcomed to answer my question. I really don't want to take the time to switch the intake back to stock though!

honestly dude i would put the stock intake back on... better do the work now... then them void the warranty and say good luck

It would obviously be more sensible to put your stock instake assembly back. That probably takes less than 15 minutes. You've already spent 40 minutes waiting for a reply on this forum.

Yea I would def put the stocker back on........They tried to void mine for replaced vaccum lines and an intake.

Completely depends on the dealer. But like the others have said, put the stock airbox back in just in case. While you're there, you can casually mention to the service manager that you have been thinking about purchasing and installing an aftermarket intake, and ask him if that would affect your warranty. Of course what he says is no guarantee they will not put up a fight if you need warranty work in the future, but it should let you gauge how that dealership responds to lightly modified cars.

i had same issue when i had a boost leak cuasing oil in the piping. the dealer said that since i had an intake that allowed more air, and the maf didnt know what to do and that caused the turbo to overspool and blow oil...so, they voided any future engine warranty..
