i currently have one (FORCEFED) im thinking about cancelling it and gettin the standard tag. Here in NC, i pay $58 a year to have this tag...is it really worth it?

I'm with ya there bud. You actually only pay an extra 28 dollars a year for the tag. I mean, you have to renew the standard tag anyway.

in short are you saying keep the tag?

in Delaware there is almost no point because state law requires that you still carry the standardized tag in the car anyway.... so whats the point?

Ive thought about getting one, but its not really worth it at this point. Maybe when the car is completed and its my "weekend" vehicle Ill think about doing something different. right now, I could care less if my plate had what I wanted or not.

I was thinking of personalizing mine with 1's and I's and O's and 0's to throw people off.

They'd try to get your tag and screw up everytime.

If I was to get one it would be something like this.

i pay $83 a yr for DADY OF 2

Not worth it - they're like tatoos now-a-days....everybody's got one and they're all pretty lame.

Mine only cost $26 the first time and then only $12 each year to renew. I just got mine and I like it.

I can't remember how much mine were, but in short I think they are worst it. Alot of people take notice to realize what kind of car it is since it is debadged. I got MZDA SPD. They also get the cops around here remembering me and stopping me repetitivly.

Yeah that's the bad thing about vanity plates, Rush posted about being harassed by cops because her PA vanity plate was the same as a Florida plate that was reported stolen. I have always gotten regular plates, one thing my cop friend taught me was that vanity plates and bumper stickers/graphics are easy to remember.

Ugh, no kidding ..

.. but on the other hand, I like to think that the next time any of the local cops see me driving around, they'll remember what happened. And then they'll feel bad, and hopefully leave me alone!

I like my personalized plate, though. But I do have to admit -- people who ask about it, after awhile, get on my nerves. I just don't feel like explaining it anymore.

I can't remember how much I had to pay for the plate when I first got it, though. I want to say around $30. And as far as rates per year .. LOL, I don't know that, either! But I guess it can't be too bad, since I can't remember off the top of my head.

mine is totally worth whatever they charge...

EVL MNKY

Mine already saved me a few hundred dollars by getting me out of a speeding ticket because of its comical value...

if anything i may change mine...FORCEFED, is just a PITA to explain to those in the NA/zero car knowledge world! suggestions are welcome

I've been heavily toying with the idea of changing mine, too. I'm in the same situation as you -- I'm just tired of having to explain it.

Thing is, I'd really just like a license plate that says 'HERS' .. or something along those lines, since everyone assumes the car is owned by a guy. But I highly doubt that isn't taken.

I suck at making plate suggestions!
