Your engine bay is beautiful.

Red would go nice with the other red colors (strut bar, intake) but it may clash with yellow... and black is just... black. Did you consider white?

Thanks man, I'll try'n be modest here, but those pictures look way worse than it does in person. And no I havent considered white but I think it might look pretty good, hmmm.... Most people think the red and yellow looks kinda McDonaldsy, but it all depends on the red, if its darker and not so "PlayPlace" it actually looks really nice. I'll try and throw up some better pics.

I did my old vc black with polished letters. it looked realy clean. i think i can pull up some pics of it later

yeah if you did black definitely leave the letters either polished or paint them white, don't do the whole thing black...

I was leanin more towards black anyways, but heres a couple more pictures.
These are way better but might be a little too big...

Goin to do wrinkle black with polished letters. I've got a question though. Do i have to drain the oil before i take off the VC?

no, most of the oil is in the pan when the engines off anyhow. The only thing to check is the valve cover gasket. make sure theres no tears and you need to put sealent on each side of the head next to the cam gears.I have the black wrinkle with polished letters. its the way to go.

Here is a pic of the sealant spots

I'd say black, maybe with polished or white painted lettering. And the sealant to use is "Ultra Grey".

Wow, your car looks just like mine!! (JK)
but seriously man, thanks for the PS, it looks great.

-And DDMike, its the AEM short ram for manual transmissions. It goes down way farther than a normal SRI, it gets colder air than a normal SRI, it keeps the same good throttle response as an SRI, and if you live in a place with a rainy season, it cant get wet like a CAI. Its like totally perfect for my WA weather, and i did notice maybe a little power, mostly just quicker throttle response and better sound though.

OK, I really like the wrinkle red. I have been trying to make this exact decision. I have an MSP valve cover to install and want to paint it too with the MSP engine cover. I've seen some really good paint jobs.
