On Friday night I was driving back from work, not much traffic at all (81 North), so I am doing my usual 80mph with spurts up to 85 on stretches that I know are safe and cop clear.

So I pass this guy in an old Oldsmobile, like a 1970s model big big turd of a car.

I had passed him at about 85 and I leave him like 50 yards behind me, well he just floors it, passes me like I am standing still and flies off into the distance. I could smell the poorly burned gas from that old carburator, man I miss cars like that.

He must of burned five gallons of gas taking off like that. :)

lol, I know you want a 1970 corvette Ahmad...

I bet that Olds was a cutlass (maybe a 442)with a 455 ci BB in it.... they are no joke

I would kill small woodland animals with big sad eyes for an Olds 442.
I would then kill you for it.(gun)
(Nothing personal, of course.)

I'll take a blue Superbird please... or a 69 GTO Judge
'70 GTO Judge > '69 GTO Judge IMHO.... in orange, and convertable please.... but I think they only made like 162 or somthing in that configuration

Indeed. By the way, does anyone else think the '02 WS6 special edition looked fugly? I especially didnt like the bumblebee paint scheme. The 02 berger SS camaro, however, good jesus someone has one that goes to my school, and I want to cry every time I see it it's so gorgeous.

Im partial to the 69.. the nose reminds me of my 67 firebird (sad2) that I was stupid enough to sell.....sigh.. my first car...

67 firebird? I thought they were first released in '69? Or was that just the trans-am? Man its ******* late.

'67 firebirds are beautiful. I dont much care for the way thr '69's look

and the first year for the T/A was '70 1/2

The Trans Am was first out in 69(only 697 firebirds were made with the Trans Am option that year). The firebird started in 67... Basically it looked IDENTICAL to the camaros at that time.. The only real differences were the labels on the engines (pontiac 326=camaro327)and the front bumper, and rear lights.

However, I think that the 70 1/2 Trans Am in Polar White was freakin HAWT!

thank you, I knew I wasnt going insane. The motor in the 69 trans am was the same as the RS camaro, the 302, so it could compete in the trans-am races?
