Respect is something that is to be earned, not expected.

Bush has yet to do anything to earn my respect, so until then my posisition on him stays.

Here's the deal: Republicans control the House, Senate and Presidentancy. They now have 4 years to do whatever they want to, and must also remember that democrats cannot be blamed for anything that goes on for the next 4 years. All the blame goes to them.

No, I don't like that, but that's what this democracy is all about. IF we dislike what's going on, we DON'T have to leave. We CAN voice our opinions w/o fear of being shot, deported, etc. I honestly don't like it, but I am going to stay here at home and do what I can so that America can get back on track. Anyone who says "Don't like it? Then leave!" has NO idea what they are talking about and anything that this country stands for.

Hopefully the republicans will screw up enough in the next 4 years so that people can actually SEE the kind of s*** that we are in.

Until then, I will respect NO ONE until they earn it. Bush, that means you.

If you can't find a single action that you can respect our president for you obviously haven't looked into it that far. I really disliked Kerry and you wouldn't be able to get me to vote for him but I still respect him for the good things he did for the country serving in the senate.

Seriously Bush has done very little IMHO to earn respect from anyone other than ultra-conservatives...even moderate republicans don't like him. Unfortunately the fact that we are already engaged in a war in Iraq basically determined the election. The citizens of this country have almost never voted out a president during a war, save for vietnam, and even then Nixon fought on for years. Bush will hopefully end the war in Iraq and continue to screw things up in every other area of the government and our lives. At that point the republican party will be ripe for a takedown.

if we merge with canada then we wouldn't have to worry about bush or kerry, the only worry would be which hockey team will win the stanley cup. ottawa is great but go avalanche...not to mention that alot of us would be concidered an outsider, what i mean by that is, have you ever seen a redneck canadian? well that would be the guy in the overalls, chewing tabbaco and trying to play goalie for the maple leafs. we shall polute canada with our filth and reek havac amongst its people.after a few years we shall breed a new race called mix breed northeners. then after 5 years, canada will be over populated and they will not allow us to have anymore children. so after reading what could possibly happen and you truly want the united states of canada.....i'm in

So, like I said. Not even close.

The media is a bunch of propagandists as well. They assume history goes back at max 4 years...8 years is ancient history. And Fox News is the most blatantly biased station i have ever seen, i wouldnt care normally but they have that stupid "fair and balanced" slogan, that really pisses me off.

On a good note, at least with impending catastrophic global warming if one were to move to Canada it wouldnt be so cold. So keep on Pollutin Bush!

And CBS is fair? They were going to hold news specifically to hurt the Bush campaign...That is BS.

All of the large media companies are biased...As a matter of fact, eight of the nine are progressive and one is traditional.

I agree that Fox is slightly biased in the traditional side, but not nearly as slanted as CBS in the progressive side...

Ummm didn't you have an header that replaced a cat???
