Uploading videos ??

I was wondering if I got some clips on a VHS, how can I make them into MPEGs or whatever file so I can show you guys ??
My girlfriend was in Japan in the summer and she taped some Japanese Mazda commercials....I saw them.......their was the MPV, Altenza, Familia, and some other little Mazda cars.....just want to share them with you guys...

I'm not exactly sure, but doesn't it work that you need to have video inputs on your video card on your computer...then you run the video out from the vcr and into the computer and use special software(check download.com.....not sure exactly what you need) and record it. Course I could be totally wrong.
