Upgraded brake lines...? Sway bars...?

Has anyone upgraded their brake lines with braided stainless ones?
I saw that Goodridge and Cork Sport offer a set... Any one better than the other...?

I had installed braided stainless lines on my Miata and that was one of the best mods I ever did. The brake feel was amazing!!!!


Also, has anyone upgraded their sway bars yet? Anyone looking into Racing Beat for sways? I've read somewhere that Hotchkis and Cobb have issues with theirs coming in contact with steering/suspension linkages...

I have the SS lines, but haven't installed them yet. I'm so ******' lazy. I got them over the summer. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them.

I have the Corksport rear bar and the handling is fantastic. HOWEVER..... I'm about to lose my goddamn mind because I CANNOT find the source of the constant clunking in the rear. I jack the car up and nothing is lose. Anywhere. Yet when I turn or go over bumps, it's crunch/pop/whatever all the time. I'm guessing I need to get it on a lift and have a mechanic take a look at it. I'm at a loss at this point.

is it in right rear? I just wondered if you were aware of the factory installed rear suspension problem some the members spoke on earlier thread? Mine clunked for weeks i found it, torqued it, came loose, twice more. locktite 242 blue(a lower strength thread locker) fixed it Check back in the forum. These guys told me about the fastener getting loose. Hope thats all it is. Obviously check suspension fasteners and bushings while its up there. I was able to fix this without jacking car. Crawl under your car and get to know it. best luck

Ive got lines as well but havent put them on yet.. Waiting for it to warm up. I always goto stainless on my cars, better pedal feel and after seeing a buddy of mine killed in his cobra from putting on high-perf brake pads without changing to stainless lines and blowing his stock lines apart and hitting a wall at 80 mph, i dont screw around.

I have a Cobb rear swaybar in mine. Zero fitment issues. Dont know about the fronts.

I have the Cobb rear bar and love it. Their front one has some fitment issues if it isn't put in perfectly (there is some slop in the mounts) but they are currently re-working it from what I hear. As far as I'm concerned, the front bar is way more trouble than it is worth. If I autocrossed or road raced for real, I might feel differently, but I just like fun on winding back roads, so the rear bar on its milder setting works great for me.

Make sure you put it up with the rear wheels supporting the car's weight, otherwise the suspension hanging down can make things like rod ends feel tight when they aren't.

Ah, OK. I'll need to just get under there when the car isn't jacked up and look again. Maybe I will be able to do that this wknd when it warms up a bit.(smash)

I installed the Goodridge brake lines on my 02 Protege and it was awesome. I havent used another brand, but i would suggest doing it...i'm going to when i buy my coilovers.

You know, i've been wondering the same thing. Are they the same quality?
