upgrade to mazda3 windshield washer nozzles?

anybody used the tribute nozzles in the winter? do they defrost the windshield well?

i think they work better in the winter than the stock ones. also, in the winter, i switch to the rain-ex de-icer fluid, which works better than the blue water stuff, too.

I'm going over to my local Mazda dealer sometime within the week to pick up a pair of the Tribute ones. Its a Mazda/Ford dealer (sad), so I can easily pick the lesser ones if there is a price difference.

My problem is not only what everyone has been mentioning, but with my R/C hood with pre drilled nozzle holes, the nozzles are loose... I was thinking a simple rubber washer under the hood would pull it tighter?.. Anyone have this similar problem?

I got a chance to rty mine out this week in a snow storm in Toronto and they worked great. Using a lot less fluid as well. The only part they don't seem to cover well is the driver side lower left, but it's not in the field of vision and is only on the highway I notice this.

I did mine a couple of days ago...took all of 5 minutes for both sides...unfortunately, it was kinda dark and cold so i didn't get any pics.....aside from the one i took today to show how to use the socket. Super easy to do with great results. (thumb)

Just bought a set today...should have them by the end of the week to install. Woot!!

Installed mine a couple of weeks ago. They work great, however, it misses the bottom left corner of the windscreen...It's not a big deal, but has anyone else had this problem?

I've got the same issue. I was thinking of stuffing a toothpic under it to see if it'll aim it. If that is sucessful, I'll make some sort of shim washer. (dunno)

Also, for reference, here's a little vid I have comparing Tribute nozzels to our stock ones

Tribute vs Pro5

Do I need to unhook the hose to the nozzle first or do I simply open the hood and take a 10mm socket to poke around? It's in the circular hole right next to the heat shield right?

Time for the 6 wagon rr wiper mod. 35.00. Works great, looks better.

Does the rear spray or just drip onto the rear window? I ordered some new jets from the dealer; two for the front and one for the rear. I figured maybe the rear one was messed up, so I ordered one.
