update to 2012 nav / audio software?

greetings all. i'm a new cx-9 owner (2012 grand touring. about 9 days in) and just moments ago, signed up to this group.

is there a meaningful update to the 2012 nav / audio software? i was a little disappointed to find that the interface / maps weren't really much better than our 2005 prius : (

wgzn, I don't know of an update. We don't care for the GPS interface either. I hate the fact you can't input information into the GPS while driving (I understand the concept of paying attention while driving), but what about having your passenger do it? Also, I hate when searching for places to eat, the interface and set up is not intuitive.

I don't even think there's an updated nav disc yet....
